Shame, as differentiated from guilt, is that
awful sense of "being uniquely and hopelessly flawed."
Like rejection, it is a common malady for many of us as we have
accepted the lie that "this is who I am," that our core
personhood is one of Shame. This is the worst kind of Ungodly Belief, a false belief about
our identity. As we attempt to cope with the unthinkable belief
that we are "uniquely and hopelessly flawed," we
unintentionally give place to Fear, amplifying our human
fear: "What if they find out?!" (and then we will
really be in trouble!) This opens the door for Control,
with its false promise of protection and cover-up so that no one
will ever find out how different (bad) we really are.
In this teaching, we discuss the various ways that the SFC stronghold manifests. Some people are laid back and use passivity as their means of Control to cover their Shame and lack of engagment with life, while others are more assertive and forceful, bulldozing over everyone else, so that no one dare raise the question about the possibility of Shame.
We have two hours of teaching on the tapes, plus an hour of ministry. The most important part of the teaching is showing how to expose the lies of the counterfeit identity and to work with the Holy Spirit as He gives us a strategy for each individual that allows us to dissemble and demolish the strongholds. We apply the Restoring the Foundations (RTF) Integrated Approach to ministry to accomplish this. We also recorded the ministry to the people present (for the teaching). This ministry demonstrates the Integrated Approach. If you participate with the Holy Spirit as you listen to these tapes, He will also minister freedom and healing to you just as He did to the group of people present during the recording.
