Between the time of printing the August 1996 newsletter and
mailing it out, we have been able to finalize the dates and
locations for next years Activation Seminar and Advanced Conference in the
Mountains of North Carolina. The detailed information follows.
In order to obtain a meeting place with sufficient capacity for the Advanced Conference, we have had to move the dates earlier in June, to June 13-16. We will be meeting at the beautiful facilities of the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly near Black Mountain, NC, about 15 miles East of Asheville.
These facilities are located on 1200 acres of
woodlands with comfortable, clean hotel style lodging, glass
walled dining room, and a wonderful chapel just right for our
meetings. There are the usual recreation options available, with
hiking trails, swimming pool, exercise room, crafts, etc.
We will have registration Friday afternoon (the 13th), with the first activity being supper that evening, followed by the first session. (First the natural, then the spiritual!) We will be able to check into our rooms after 4:00 PM. We will have the last session Monday morning (the 16th), concluding the seminar with lunch.
At this time, we feel that the purpose of the Advanced Conference will be similar to this years: that is, to build relationships with other RTFM ministers, trainers, oversight, and church programs; to share the ministry revelations that the Lord has given to each of us; and to enjoy His presence as we of similar spirit and vision gather together in His Name. We think that it will be a good time!
In our March 97 newsletter, we will give the final details for this seminar. However, we expect the cost for a team (two people) to be $395, including lodging, meals, and conference registration.
As we did last year, we want to make it possible for those
attending the Activation Seminar to also be able to stay and
attend the Advanced Seminar. So, while we will still meet at High
Pastures (near Burnsville, NC) as stated in the newsletter, we
have moved the dates earlier by two weeks to June 9-12. We will
have registration Monday afternoon (the 9th), starting with
supper and the first training session that evening. We will
continue through Thursday midday (the 12th), having the final
training session that morning followed by lunch.
This schedule will give those of us that will be attending both meetings some sightseeing time in North Carolina before showing up at Blue Ridge Assemble Friday afternoon. (It is about 60 miles from High Pastures to Blue Ridge Assemble.)
