General Letter

Hi Dear Friends,

We are enjoying being in more frequent contact with you via newsletter. We appreciate the warm and encouraging notes we are getting from many of you, and also the contributions that some of you have sown into this ministry. We are grateful about all that God is doing. He is blessing the work of our hands, expanding the scope of our activities, and bringing quality people to work with us. What better way to spend one's life than to be obedient to God's call?

In this issue, we report on two very successful seminars held in June in North Carolina. We had a lot of fun hosting the first Advanced Conference, as we truly experienced networking via the Holy Spirit. All of our hearts were bonded together, as God in an awesome way gave us a taste of the healing that He is going to, and is, pouring out on His Church. Those called to minister healing and deliverance will truly see God's heart beat for His people.

We are also excited to offer a new ministry to you from PHW: The Cat's "Meow", a Marriage Enrichment Oneness Weekend. Please see the details further on, and contact us if you are interested. We have wanted to expand our ministry to married couples for some time, and this is the first of several ways we will accomplish this.

Report from the June Conference/Seminar

Proclaiming His Word Ministries sponsored a conference and a seminar at High Pastures Christian Retreat in Burnsville, NC, the last week of June.  These were fun to host and inspiring to behold.

Activation Seminar: Forty two people attended the Activation Seminar the first half of the week, entering into the first step of our three step training process. Two very able PHW teams, Win and Margaret Brisbin, and Tommy and Pat James, assisted us in the teaching and the small group activation. As usual, even though this was supposed to be a training seminar, God broke out during the one-on-one activations, not only training the new ministers, but ministering healing to the one "being practiced on." Everyone reported that they received some healing. One lady was healed of much abandonment and rejection, which had greatly hindered her ability to be close to her husband. Several men received freedom from the wounds inflicted by their fathers. We were all very blessed as the primary mission of PHW was once again fulfilled: the training of RTF ministryConf teams for the Local Church and for the Body of Christ at large.

Advanced Conference: The last half of the week, we hosted the first ever PHW Advanced Conference. As described in our March 1996 newsletter, the purpose of this seminar was to provide a place for God "to come and impart into us a greater anointing for quick revelation, deep healing, swift deliverance, and committed relationship with Him." We believe that this purpose was more than fulfilled, as over one hundred leaders and ministers came together to worship and honor God and share with each other. For over 2 1/2 days, oversight teams from six different churches, along with PHW teams, taught on and demonstrated advanced RTFM concepts and insights. It was wonderful to see how God has revealed different understanding to different church leaders/team, and also to hear testimonies of God's healing hand through the ministry. The value of networking was clearly illustrated, as we all shared and benefited from what God is doing in our various locations.

Conference Proceedings: Because of the richness of the teachings, demonstrations, and ministry, plus the sweet presence of the Lord, we have decided to make the Conference proceedings available as a six (90 min) tape set. You may want to "revisit" special things you remember from the conference. Or you might not have been able to attend the conference and you would like to benefit from what happened. We believe that all RTFM church programs could benefit by incorporating at least some of the shared revelations into their ministry program.

Next Year: The success of this year's Advanced Conference encourages us to plan for another one next year. We have not yet settled on the dates or the location, since we have outgrown the facilities of High Pastures, but we want to again host it at a location in the mountains of NC, during the last part (last week?) of June. So you might mark your calendars, and either check with us in several weeks or wait for our next newsletter (scheduled for December) for the final details. We will have next year's Activation Seminar at High Pastures again, for those of you that are beginning the RTFM Training Steps process (or perhaps you know a team that will be ready by that time). It will be held June 22-25, 1997, with basically the same format and costs as this year.

Comments about RTFM

The comments we continually hear about the RTFM approach to ministry sound something like:

CI/PHW Healing House

The fulfillment of Bishop Bill Hamon's vision to provide a safe place for pastors and other leaders in the Body of Christ to receive effective Prophetic Ministry continues to expand. In 1995, the first full year of operation of the CI/PHW Healing House, 108 people received life changing ministry to the four problem areas of RTFM. Approximately one half of them were pastors and spouses, with most of the others being elders, care group leaders, etc. People have continued to come to the Healing House in increasing numbers in 1996. We are grateful to be a part of Jesus' healing the broken hearted and setting the captives free.

At this time, we have nine couple teams and two women teams trained and qualified to minister in the Healing House, with additional teams in training. If you would like to receive our brochure describing the procedure and cost for coming to the Healing House, or just want to ask some questions, please feel free to contact us at our various addresses. You can also see our in-depth Web Page on the CI/PHW Healing House.

Marriage Enrichment Oneness Weekend

Have you been thinking about a romantic getaway weekend with your honey, one that would also "Enrich" your marriage, and help move you toward that "Oneness" that God wants for you? We are planning two Marriage Enrichment Oneness Weekends (otherwise known as MEOW) for couples that would like to eliminate hindrances and blocks to a good marriage and add godly wisdom and understanding, so that they can build a great Oneness marriage (Gen 2:24, Mal 2:14-15, Eph 5:20-33).

Ever since God turned our marriage around, and individually begin to heal us and our marriage, we have had a heart to help others on this same journey. That is one of the reasons we have a joint meeting with couples going through Restoring the Foundations ministry (RTFM), both before and after their individual ministry sessions. We want their relationship to benefit as they get rid of their individual "stuff" that they have brought into the marriage.

Please note, MEOW is NOT FOR COUPLES in crisis, nor on the brink of separation. In these cases, the CI/PHW Healing House is recommended as the place to go. Please don't apply for the MEOW unless your marriage is purring somewhat already, and you are looking for "more purr." The MEOW is designed to be in addition to, and an enrichment of, your individual RTFM.

In a group setting, we will briefly review and minister to the RTFM four problem areas, particularly Ungodly Beliefs that set up complimentary/mutually reinforcing destructive patterns. We will then focus on building a Oneness Marriage, covering topics such as communications, decision making, headship, praying together, handling upsets and conflicts, legitimate and illegitimate control, in-laws, romance, freedom, etc. There will be times for individual reflection and couple interaction, as well as free time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

First MEOW: This MEOW will be held in the panhandle of Florida near DeFuniak Springs at a small Retreat Center the weekend of Feb 14-16, 1997. We will stay in a beautiful restored house with 7 bedrooms and 5 baths. This is a very nice facility, yet one that will help us keep the costs down. Meals will be provided in the large farm kitchen. We will have our group meetings in the living room, with other places available for smaller meetings. The cost per couple is $350, with a deposit of $200 required. The limit is six couples. We will be the MEOW leaders. If this MEOW fills up quickly, we may schedule another one at this same location later in the year.

Second MEOW: We have reserved a beautiful Inn at Highland Lake Resort in Flatrock, NC, (near Asheville) for the second MEOW, the weekend of May 2-4, 1997. This is a five star resort, featuring organic gourmet meals and beautiful surroundings. The 16 bedrooms in this Inn are spacious and romantic. We did not select this place to keep the costs down, but rather to have a "blow-out" honeymoon weekend, combining luxury with godly marriage enrichment. The cost per couple is $595, with a deposit of $400 required. The limit is fourteen couples. John and Mary Webster will be assisting us in leading this MEOW.

Schedule: Each MEOW will start with the Friday evening meal and end with the Sunday mid-day meal. The cost includes lodging, meals, and registration fee. Since the MEOW is focused on marriage and only indirectly on family, please make other arrangements for your children while you attend the MEOW.

Registration: Attending a MEOW is on a first come basis. That is, rooms will be assigned as couples submit their deposit (either $200 or $400). The remainder of the cost will be due two weeks before the start of the MEOW. Once all of the available rooms are assigned, we will close the registration.

Return of Deposit: If you must cancel your registration before the two week deadline for the final payment, we will return your deposit (less a $25 administration fee). If you must cancel after the two week deadline, the return of your deposit (less $25) will depend on the availability of another couple to take your assigned room.

Standby List: If you desire, we will maintain your name on a standby list for the MEOW, in case a couple must cancel their registration. We will require the normal deposit from you. We will return your entire deposit if no space opens up for you.

Transportation: Each couple will provide their own transportation. We will provide travel suggestions and maps to the MEOW location. At your request, we will be happy to release your name and phone number to others that might want to share rides, etc.

Response Items

If you are interested in any of the following response items, please contact us immediately:

**Note: Lodging is limited to 6 couples at the first MEOW, and to 14 at the second MEOW, so we will assign rooms on a "first come, first served" basis as you send in your deposit. (You may call and register by phone using your credit card if your desire.) Your deposit will be refunded (less $25 administration cost) if you cancel your registration at least two weeks before the starting date. We will maintain your name on a standby list if you request that we do so.
