Proclaiming His Word Newsletter

April 1999 Contents:

Hello Dear Friends,

It is always a pleasure to share with you what God is doing through Proclaiming His Word Ministries, with the very special ministry teams and staff that He has joined together with a common vision. But this time, there is an extra excitement that we have, as we report on the Prophetic Healing and Miracles Conference that just finished. It is hard to not "spill it all" right here, but we will resist, and instead direct your attention to the adjacent column.

To follow up on the last newsletter, we want to thank those who called in to volunteer as ministry receivers for our "Video Project." We have selected the "blessed" couple. We will minister to them in late April, recording the entire ministry process in a TV studio. We plan to complete the editing by the end of May.

For a long time we have wanted to use a video series to substitute for the Observing Step in the minister training process. This will enable more efficient training in churches, in the college programs that are under development, and even here in the Healing House. PTL!

By the way, we did survive our February Alaska trip, arriving back home in Florida with no frostbite. In fact, it was a most marvelous trip, with great people, beautiful weather and surroundings, and with God ministering mightily to us in the Activation Seminar.

God Bless you.

Until the next newsletter, Chester and Betsy Kylstra

Report on the Prophetic Healing Conference

"We are standing on Holy Ground." This refrain rang over and over in my mind as we experienced the wonderful, gracious, healing presence of the Lord, at the recent Prophetic Healing and Miracles Conference at Christian International (March 9-12).

This conference has been in all of our hearts for a number of months, as we have prepared, prayed, and fasted. We wanted to provide a place to receive God's healing for our bodies, souls, and spirits, and to gain knowledge and understanding about how to be better stewards of this Temple that He has entrusted to us. We wanted to provide a lot of time for God's healing touch, so we could go home knowing that we had met with the Living God.

Well, God more than answered our prayers. It was easy to teach, and easy to pray expectant prayers for each other. God's presence was continuously being intensified through wonderful times of worship, anointed arts presentations, messages, and ministry times in the healing workshops.

PhwDove2.gif (2678 bytes)The first afternoon of the conference, each participant received Prophetic Presbytery. The prophets sought to bring revelation about areas of the person's life that the Lord wanted to heal. This prophetic word became a theme, or guide, for that person throughtout the different conference sessions. From the reports coming back to us, God did indeed use the prophetic word to bring to light what He wanted to heal, and then He did the healing!

Tuesday, Betsy Kylstra brought a message challenging God's people to look again at ourselves as God's Temple. She drew parallels between His careful design, His presence, and His miracle working power in the tabernacle of Moses containing the ark of the covenant, and now, how He is doing the same things in, and through, us.

Bishop Hamon preached Wednesday evening, declaring that faith without "corresponding" works is dead (James). He exhorted us to "plant our faith" to see God's signs and wonders evidenced in our lives. Following our planting, Pastor Jane Hamon shared with us scriptural and personal revelation that this is truly God's appointed time to release miracles; many types and kinds of miracles. We prayed for one another with heightened faith, and saw the results as God moved on our behalf.

Thursday evening Chester Kylstra's message, which was proceeded by a touch of refreshing laughter, emphasized many scriptures in which Jesus spoke or commanded what was needed in each situation, rather than praying long, ardent prayers. The key is that He had already done the praying, and so He knew what the Father wanted Him to say and to do. So that night, we eliminated the verbiage in our prayers. Rather, we sought the Father for what he wanted to do, and then we prayed short, expectant, commanding prayers, to bring forth the miracles.

Wednesday morning's ministry was an application of the integrated ministry model as presented in Restoring the Foundations, to areas of fear, worry, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, loss, and body hurts. These emotions and experiences, left alone, can result in illnesses. People experienced much release and healing during the ministry time.

Other morning topics and teachings centered on "Better Temple Care," as we were made aware of both environmental pollutants, toxins, electromagnetic stress, etc., and our health needs for adequate amounts of water, body cleansing, and good nutrition. These were taught by Sharon Graham, RN, and Chester Kylstra. Again, we were challenged to look at our life patterns, and to chose ones that demonstrate our stewardship responsibilities for proper care and protection of God's Temple.

Powerful healing and deliverance occurred in the afternoon workshops. "I wish I had enough time to attend all of them," was an enthusiastic cry heard more than once. Some of the topics were, "Removing our Masks," "Getting Free of Shame and Guilt," "Receiving Supernatural Healing," "Spiritual Roadblocks to Weight Loss," "Closing the Marital Gap," "Beyond Forgiveness," "Caring for the Temple of God," and "Healing Your Business." Listening at the doors of the workshop classrooms, we could hear both laughter and tears. God's work was being done.

Here are a few comments from the participants:

As we experienced all that God was doing, I asked myself, "Which is a greater miracle, the healing of a painful back, a broken heart, or a powerful release from the demonic oppression of fear?" My conclusion: It's all good. It just depends on where it hurts!

God did it all. Lord, we are so grateful!

Temple Care

God is challenging us to be good stewards of the Temple that He has entrusted to us. With this in mind, we have asked Sharon Graham, RN, one of the conference speakers, to share with us information and understandings that can lead to better Temple Care. Chester and Betsy Kylstra.

What an incredible blessing the conference was to many, including myself! God's love and power were made manifest in my spirit as well as in my physical body. It was also a tremendous pleasure to meet so many of you who have such a sincere heart to follow after the Lord and who desire to be whole and healthy, not only in your spirit, but in your physical body as well.

For you that attended the conference, no doubt you noticed that there were several threads being woven throughout the week. Common themes, basic to health, were mentioned more than once.

Take the area of health and wellness, for example. Is health more than just being skinny and free of cancer? We determined that indeed it is. We looked at many symptoms of good health. Some mentioned were:

There are several things we can do to walk in the level of health and well-being that God has provided for us. We want to continue to draw on God's ever available healing power, as we learned to do in the conference. We want to embrace proper rest, exercise, and nutrition for our body, soul, and spirit. We want to eliminate toxins of all kinds from our bodies and environments. We want to provide the body with all of the raw materials that it needs to maintain health.

All of this, and much more, we covered in the conference. But since many of you were not able to attend, we will be bringing to you in the future issues of this newsletter information about good health principles as well as helpful nutritional products that can help you move in the direction of God's gift of divine health.

Sharon Graham, RN
