General Letter

Hi Dear Friends,

We continue to be amazed at all that God is accomplishing in us and through us. Since we last wrote, much has happened. Let us briefly fill you in.

Our ministry, Proclaiming His Word Ministries, continues to provide a covering for the training of ministry teams, both for the local church and for the Body of Christ at large. Several teams have joined us, some part time and some full time. These teams are now (1) training other ministry teams, (2) ministering to church leadership, and (3) training others to train RTF ministry teams. Over the last fifteen months, these teams have trained more than thirty ministry teams in nine churches and in the CI Healing House. What a joy to be a part of equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. (A description of the Training Steps we are using to train Restoring the Foundations ministers (RTFM) is on its own Web Page.)

In 1995, over one hundred people, almost half of them pastors and spouses, came for one week of intensive RTFM ministry in the CI/PHW Healing House. Many lives were significantly touched, with several marriages saved. We truly are seeing God remove the spots and the wrinkles from people's lives.

Besides doing some ministry ourselves and working on resources to help the training of ministry teams, we conducted seventeen seminars in 1995 throughout the USA. (Click here to see the PHW current Schedule.) These were both RTF Healing/Deliverance and RTF Activation seminars. We have also trained other teams to conduct these seminars. They are now going out to local churches to teach about the truths expressed within RTFM, and to minister group healing and deliverance. The testimonies coming back to us about God's touch is awesome!

We are excited about having our first Advanced Seminar this summer. See below for details about it. We want to encourage all RTF ministry teams to seriously pray about being there.

Testimony: The Wonder of Miracles

He was a little reluctant to engage in the ministry process, this fifty-seven year old godly man. Although he was quite willing to receive, he was not sure just what he needed. The typical sins had never been a part of his life. His tone of voice as he spoke of Jesus, was vibrant, non-religious.

At first, the ministry was a little "ho-hum," more like a doctor examining a well patient. But then, as the Holy Spirit dug deeper, this man remembered a deep loss, a loss that had occurred forty-one years earlier. The pain rose up from within him, surprising him as it spilled out through his eyes.

He had been in a severe car wreck that had cost him dearly. The rod that had gone into his head had partly paralyzed his left side, resulting in much loss of hearing, smell, taste, balance, and even the ability to smile. Still worst from his point of view, was the loss of three weeks of his memory surrounding the accident. Yet this man was grateful to be alive, and grateful that some years earlier God had healed his hearing in one ear and much of his paralysis. Yet a deep plaintive sadness filled him, a regret of what might have been.

As we approached the end of the ministry process, we ministered deliverance from spirits of trauma and loss, and then prayed for healing and restoration. In the quietness of the room, God's invisible healing touch came to that man, and the wonder of miracles took place. Quietly, detail by detail, he began to recount the events of the "missing" three weeks. It was all there. No one moved for twenty minutes as he talked. (Except to get Kleenex!)

It was only after he got home and his wife served him buttered carrots, that he realized that his sense of smell and taste had also returned! A few days later, the once faltering balance was replaced by sure footed dancing, and his wide, unrestrained smile celebrated what God had done.

Activation Seminar

We will be hosting another RTF Activation Seminar this June in North Carolina. It will immediately proceed the Advanced Seminar discussed below. The Activation Seminar will start with the evening meal on Sunday, June 23, at 6:00 PM. It will end with the Wednesday lunch meal. The cost of $495 per team (couple) includes Seminar registration, lodging for three nights (Sunday through Tuesday night), and nine meals. Lodging is limited, so we will be taking advance deposits and maintaining a waiting list as necessary. Let us know as soon as possible if you desire to come (send in your deposit), so that we can coordinate lodging.

Normally, we desire that only experienced teams attend the Advanced Seminar. But if you desire, you may register to stay the entire week at High Pastures and attend both seminars for a total cost of $825 per team. This includes the additional meals and Wednesday night lodging. You will have Wednesday afternoon until Thursday evening meal free to do as you wish.

The first Training Step in the training process (after completing the Prerequisites) is the Activation Seminar. This seminar provides an effective way to familiarize a group of people with the elements of RTFM, particularly the Integrated Approach to Ministry. While we do some teaching, most of the time is used in demonstrations and practice in small groups, with activation and impartation. The basic pattern is to briefly teach on a topic, demonstrate how to "do it," and then for each individual to practice "doing it" under the supervision of the small group leader. By the end of the seminar, each aspect of the entire RTF ministry process will have been practiced, paving the way for the Observing and Ministry Training Steps.

Besides the Prerequisites listed on the Training Steps page, we would like you to:

Advanced Seminar

We will be hosting our first Advanced Seminar in Restoring the Foundations Ministry (RTFM) this summer (June 27-29) in North Carolina, immediately after the Activation Seminar discussed above. We will be returning to High Pastures, a beautiful Christian Retreat center in the Blue Ridge mountains near Burnsville, NC. Those of us who attended the Seminar there last summer thoroughly enjoyed the facilities and the surroundings, as well as the ministry of the Lord during the Activation Seminar. (A high point was standing on the tower on top of Mount Mitchell (the highest point in the East), singing and praying as the sun was setting.)

For the Advanced Seminar, we will have teaching and activation times, open forums where a variety of speakers may share, and fellowship opportunities. Those of you who feel that you have gained understanding that may be helpful to all of us, please call to discuss with us what you would like to share. If we feel that the topic is of general interest, we will place you on the open forum schedule.

The Advanced Seminar will start with the evening meal on Thursday at 6:00 PM. Our final session will end Saturday night around 10:00 PM. The cost of $345 per team (couple) includes seminar registration, lodging for three nights (Thursday through Saturday night), and seven meals. Lodging is limited, so we will be taking advance deposits and maintaining a waiting list if necessary. Let us know as soon as possible if you desire to come (send in your deposit), so that we can coordinate lodging.

The Advanced Seminar is designed for ministry teams experienced in the RTFM approach to ministry. That is, for teams that have already gone through the initial training process (see Training Steps page) and gained experience by ministry to least six or more people. (We will be making an exception to this requirement for teams coming to the Activation Seminar during the first half of the week. They may stay for the entire week, attending this seminar also.)

There are several advanced ministry insights that we want to bring to experienced teams during our teaching and activation times, as well as "things we want experienced teams to know." Other teams associated with Proclaiming His Word Ministries will also be ministering.

We feel that God is telling us to come to this seminar with great expectation. We believe that He wants to come and impart into us a greater anointing for quick revelation, deep healing, swift deliverance, and committed relationship with Him.

Come be a part of God's continued expansion of revelation as He further equips His ministers to help prepare His Bride for His soon return!
