Agreement with God
and
with the Promises of God

Are we, or do we want to be in agreement with God, or do we care?   It is important or not?
Consider these scriptures in the context of Ungodly Beliefs, and Godly Beliefs.

Scriptures from Bible regarding Agreement, Covenant, Lies, Truth, Promises, Faith.

Agreement:

KJV Isaiah 28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

KJV Isaiah 28:18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

Isaiah is not impressed with the wicked's covenant with death and hell.  No hope there!

KJV Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

KJV Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

KJV 2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

The Power of Agreement is to be entered into with other like-minded, people committed to God.  People born again, filled with the Holy Spirit, and able to be in agreement with each other and God's Purposes.    God does not want us to be agreeing with things of the devil, i.e., idols.

Once in agreement, it is important to stay fixed and firm on the agreement.

KJV James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

1374 di,yucoj dipsuchos {dip'-soo-khos} • from 1364 and 5590; TDNT - 9:665,1342; adj • AV - double minded 2; 2 • 1) double minded 1a) wavering, uncertain, doubting 1b) divided in interest

Promises:

KJV 2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

NIV 2 Corinthians 1:20
1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.

KJV 2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

KJV 2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

All God's promises have been verified and activated by Christ Jesus.  (They are "Yes" in Christ.)   Because of Him, if we can get into agreement with each other, and with Christ (we speak the "Amen"), then the promises are activated in us.  God wants us to use these promises to become cleansed and to enter into the divine nature.

KJV Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

KJV Hebrews 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

KJV Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Patience is sometimes needed (in case you haven't noticed!).

KJV Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Get into agreement with God's Promises, with each other, with Jesus the Christ, and the with faith and patience, and demonsate our agreement by acting on the Word (promises) to what ever extend we can, without committing sin (breaking the law).

Godly Beliefs are by definition, agreement with God and His Word, nature, and character.
